how to I updgrade qb desktop 2019 pro to desktop 2020 pro

Upgrading QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) 2019 Pro to 2020 version is a breeze, and I'm here to guide you on how, @janstarling.

You can upgrade QBDT to a newer version from within the program. You'll get a message when you open QuickBooks that a new version is available if you have a subscription. If you don’t see a prompt to upgrade, it means you made a one-time purchase of QuickBooks. To upgrade using the easy upgrade tool, here’s how:

1. Go to the Help menu.
2. Select Upgrade QuickBooks or Upgrade to Latest QuickBooks. 
3. Choose the version (2020) you want to upgrade to, then select Upgrade Now.
4. You can keep a copy of your current version of QuickBooks. Select Keep old version on my computer, then select Let’s go.

Once done, QuickBooks downloads, installs and activates the new version for you. Then, update your company file(s).
