How to import historical Paypal transactions?

How do I import old PayPal transactions, I've just connected my PayPal account but it's only showing the transactions from the past 3 months or so.

Is there an option to automatically import older transactions into Quickbooks?

If so how do I do this?

Yes, you can definitely import older bank transactions into QuickBooks, tomak160.

You'll have to download the needed transactions from PayPal and then manually import them into QuickBooks. Aside from that, let's ensure that you don't import transactions that have been added or recorded to avoid duplicates. To review this, you can go to the bank account's register and look into the oldest transaction.

After you've reviewed the dates of the transaction, you'll download them from your bank. Just log in to your bank's website and follow the instructions on how to download the transactions. Save the file in a file format that we support such as Comma-Separated Values (CSV) or QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Then, start uploading the transactions into QuickBooks. I'll show you how:

  1. Log in to QuickBooks Online.
  2. From the left menu, click Transactions or Banking. Then, click Banking
  3. At the upper-right, click File upload.
  4. Click Browse and open the file. Then, Next.
  5. Select the QuickBooks Account. Click Next.
  6. Map the format of the bank account field to your statement fields. Click Next
  7. Review the transactions to be imported and then click Next.
  8. Confirm the import by clicking Yes. Then, click Let's go!

Now you can categorise, add, or match your transactions. The transactions are now in QuickBooks that you wish to reconcile to ensure your books are accurate and there are any duplicate transactions.
