I am unable to connect to my HSBC account. I cant access the page at all through MAC or android OS and when I do it through windows I get the following message:

Something unexpected happened and we can't connect to HSBC bank (UK) -Personal Banking.

try again in a few hours. (590)

I have been trying now for several days, with no luck. This is just one in a string of problems I have had with my bank transactions. Infact, it hasn't worked smoothly sine I first subscribed to quickbooks, almost a year ago.

I know how important it is to keep your account up to date with your latest HSBC bank transactions, TP82. I'm here to share details about the HSBC bank connection error you encountered when connecting to QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE).

Error 590 usually impacts your bank connection and should self resolve within 48 hours. However, there's currently an ongoing investigation about it. I assure you that our product engineers are actively working to have a permanent fix.

In the meantime, you'll have to manually import your HSBC transactions to QBSE. Here are the steps:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Imports.
  3. Choose HSBC to add the transactions into.
  4. Click Browse.
  5. Select the file, then click Open to start the import.
  6. Review the column headers and data.
  7. Select Continue.

Furthermore, I'd recommend contacting our Customer Care Team. They can add your account to the list of affected users. This ensures you're in the loop about the investigation's status and its resolution. You can go to the Assistant menu, then type or say Talk to a human and choose your preferred support method. For more details, visit this article: Contact QBSE Support

Once done in importing your transactions, you need to review and select the appropriate categories for them. This will make sure your business and financial records are correct. For the detailed information, kindly check out this article: Categorize and edit transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Please let me know if you have other concerns. I'm just around to help.
