Question

I am connecting my bank account which all goes well until it redirects me back to quikbooks then it doesn't do anything and stays on the same screen without actually sending me back to quikbooks?

Thanks for posting to our care, @mbooth280-gmail-.

When you connect your bank account, and it doesn't redirect (freezes) to QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) after the process, the browser may have a problem loading the interface. There are times that cached being stored in your browser can cause unexpected behavior with QBSE.

In this case, I recommend using a private browser to verify if the issue is related. You can press the following commands to access this mode.

Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome).

Ctrl + Shift + P (Firefox).

Control + Option + P (Safari).

From there, run QBSE and connect your bank. If your bank account connects and redirects to QuickBooks successfully, I suggest going back to your regular browser and clear its cache. These caches of data are essentially junk files and can be removed safely to free up storage space.

Alternatively, you can log in to QBSE using another supported browser to connect your bank account.

Once fixed, you can then categorise transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Let me know if you need more assistance with connecting your bank account or other concerns with QBSE. I'm always here to help you out. Enjoy your day ahead and stay healthy!
