In addition, I see that in TB there are 4 currencies(USD, ZMW, ZAR & GBP) while in AP and AR only USD and ZMW

Let me guide you in resolving your reconciliation issues, Norman.

When you reconcile an account, you're basically checking that the transactions in QuickBooks match the ones on your bank statements. Sometimes, there might be mistakes in the records, like putting in the wrong starting balance when the account was made, adding transactions from before the starting balance without fixing the original entry, or changing, deleting, moving, or undoing transactions that were already reconciled.

Ensure you're reconciling the correct account for the appropriate month. We should also check if the payments and expenses displayed in your bank statement match those in your bank register for each bank account with different currencies. It's advisable to seek guidance from your accountant.

Please follow the steps below:

  1. Review the opening and beginning balance
  2. Check the ending balance you entered
  3. Combine multiple transactions into a single transaction
  4. Eliminate transactions you know are correct
  5. Enter transactions that aren't in QuickBooks
  6. Enter transactions that aren't in QuickBooks
  7.  Review transactions that are slightly off

For detailed instructions for each step, read this article: Fix issues at the end of reconciliation in QuickBooks Online.

Every time you complete the reconciliation process, QuickBooks Online automatically creates a report for that session. This report can be helpful if you encounter difficulties reconciling the next month or when you have a meeting with your accountant.
