Question

I disconnected my American Express account and can't find a way to reconnect it. It's not showing in the 'tiles' but is there in the history. How do I reconnect please?

Hi Ruth13, The Amex live feed is no longer available, we are working on a new connection which will be available in the coming months. More information on that can be found here.

In the meantime you can import bank transactions via an excel spreadsheet in the cog in the top right>impoort data>bank data, it is a case of downloading the transactions first and then saving it as a CSV. There is a helpful guide on importing them available here.

Thanks - as I disconnected it, it’s not showing as a ‘tile’ only in history with only option to ‘reconcile’ and not upload transactions. How do I get it back as a tile so I can see it easily and update it ? Thanks

Hello again, @ruth13.

Reconnecting your Amex bank feed is currently unavailable. As mentioned by my peer, we’re working on a new connection that will be available in the coming months.

You’ll see a banner on the Banking menu when the Open Banking connection is ready for your financial institution. Aside from that, the master admin will also receive an email from QuickBooks informing the steps needed to complete the update.

Check out the Upgrade your bank feed connection to Open Banking guide for more information. It outlines the instructions on how to switch to the new connection as well as answers to frequently asked questions.

Keep me posted if you have any clarifications or questions. I’ll be right here to answer them for you. Have a great rest of the day.
