Hello, vivienne2.

Welcome to the Community. Let me share some insight into why your new bank account added in the chart of account is not showing up in your bank feed. On the Banking page, it will only show the account that is connected to QBO. However, in the chart of account, it's the bank account that was manually added to the system.

Let's go ahead and connect your bank account from the chart of account so it will show up in your bank feed. However, you must also have an online banking account to successfully connect this to QBO.

Create a New Bank Account in QBO:

  1. From QuickBooks Online, navigate to the Accounting tab and the Chart of Accounts section.
  2. Click New. Fill out an Account Type, Detail Type, and Beginning Balance.
  3. Select Save and close once finished.

Through the chart of account, here’s how to add your bank:

  1. Go back to your Chart of Accounts.
  2. Select the new account that you’ve created a while ago.
  3. From the View register drop-down, select Connect bank.
  4. Follow the prompts to connect your bank account.
