Welcome to the Online Community, hlws71.

Recording your personal cash is as easy as 1,2,3. I have a few easy steps to input the transaction.

  1. Tap the New menu in the upper left to select Bank deposit under Other
  2. These actions will open another page where you can enter the personal cash.
  3. On the Bank Deposit page, scroll down to the Add to this deposit section.
  4. Under the Received From column, enter the person or business that you received the amount from.
  5. In the Account section, type in owner’s equity and then enter the amount of the deposit in the appropriate field.
  6. Click Save and close to keep the entry.

However, if you haven’t set up the owner’s equity, the following link contains detailed instructions on how to add an account in QBO. To view the steps, click on the Add or edit an account link: Understand QuickBooks Chart of Accounts.

To help get started using the product, I’m adding a link where you can view all our self-help articles: QuickBooks Online.
