It's our understanding that if you're purchasing a vehicle for your business then this would be included on the self-assessment form as a capital allowance, boxes 49-59 and not accounted for within the business expenses section.  Please note we're not accountants and therefore we recommend that you qualify the above with an accountant. There maybe a Community member that reads this post and they are an accountant or suitably qualified and they able to confirm our information. When you refer to purchasing the vehicle with your own money, did you pay cash or from your bank account/is the transaction amount showing in the transaction section?
