Question

I inadvertently showed the end date for the bank reconciliation as 1/31/23. I need to change it to the correct date 12/31/22. How do I do that?

I can help you with editing the end date of your bank reconciliation, @JDELAHUNT.

You can change the end date of a completed reconciliation by unreconciling each of your transactions. Once done, reconcile again the transactions and make sure to set the correct end date.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Accounting menu and choose Chart of Accounts.
  2. Locate the account.
  3. Choose Account history from the Action column.
  4. Select the transaction
  5. Go to the Check column and click the box many times until it is blank.
  6. Click on Save.
  7. Repeat the process for other transactions within the reconciliation period.

Refer to this article for more information about unreconciling your transactions: Undo or remove transactions from reconciliations in QuickBooks Online. Once done, reconcile the transactions once again.
