I only want to import my bank account details from VAT registration. How do I edit the dates seen by quickbooks please.

Are you trying to enter all transactions from a specific date into QuickBooks? If so you can do a CSV import of the bank transactions using our import tool here.

To set an opening balance for you bank account, you can follow our community article linked which shows how to record this using a bank deposit. The date you select on the bank deposit will be the date that you begin recording transactions from in QuickBooks.
