Question

I've tried linking my bank account 3 times now. After confirming with the bank online it then sends me to a loading page which leads to no where?

I’ll make sure you’re able to link your bank account in QuickBooks, Joe.

There are some factors that you need to consider before connecting your bank account to QuickBooks Online (QBO). You’ll want to make sure you have a stable internet connection, and your bank supports Open Banking. Also, ensure there's no ongoing site maintenance to seamlessly connect it.

In addition, you can perform some troubleshooting steps to resolve this. Sometimes browser-related issues can cause unexpected behavior in the program.

You can sign in to your QBO account using an incognito or private window for testing. Here are the shortcuts keys for quick navigation:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari 11 or newer: + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P

Once logged in, try to link your bank account. If it works, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache to start fresh. You can also use other supported browsers as an alternative except for Internet Explorer.

You may still be able to download transactions from your bank's website and manually import them to QBO. Here's how to upload more than 90 days of bank transactions through Web Connect or import them from Excel CSV file to QBO. This way, you can start categorising and matching them.

Do you have other banking concerns? Please don’t hesitate to let me know. I’ll be here to help. Have a good one!
