Is it true that qb is dropping hsbc bank account intergration ?

That is not true at all, we are only dropping the Direct Feed connection for HSBC, all the customers have to do is create a new connection that will default to Open banking feed, which is a much better connection type. So we can assure you that you will still be able to connect your HSBC bank accounts to Quickbooks.
