Nice to have you in the Community space, @ta_services-outl.

I can provide some insights on how to link your Mettle account seamlessly

Let's access your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) account in a private or incognito window and link your account from there. This way, we can check if this a browser cache issue.

The browser uses cache and cookies to swiftly load web pages faster on your next visit. However, this causes unusual behaviour that affects the performance of your account. A private window is a great tool in identifying the issue as this doesn't store cache files.

To open a private window, you can utilize these keyboard shortcuts for reference:

  • Press keys: Ctrl + Shift + P (Mozilla Firefox & Microsoft Edge browser)
  • Press keys: Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome browser)
  • Press keys: Command + Shift + N (Safari browser)

If you’re able to connect your Mettle account, I’d suggest deleting your regular browser's cache. This will delete all the saved data files from your browser and start with a clean slate. If the issue persists, I recommend using other supported browsers. This way, we can see and check if this is a browser-integrated issue.

Once everything is settled, you can read this article for guidance: Categorise transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed. This can walk you through the steps in tracking your transactions to the right account.

Keep me posted if you have any other concerns connecting your account. I'm always around to back you up. Keep safe!
