Hello there, stevenjf.

The email sent about Open Banking update means you'll need to update your bank connection as part of the Open Banking regulation.

The email contains the instructions on how to complete the process. You'll know when your bank is ready once you'll see a banner on the Banking menu or Transactions menu. To update the connection, please follow the steps below:

  1. Update Now to switch to open banking.
  2. On the next screen, click Update now.
  3. Confirm your connection by clicking Agree. This opens up a new tab to your bank's online banking page.
  4. Follow the steps on your bank's online banking page to authorise QuickBooks to connect to your bank account.
  5. On the QuickBooks page, select the bank accounts you want to connect, and which account they will link to in QuickBooks.
  6. Select Connect.

To give you more insights about upgrading your bank feed connection to Open Banking, you can check out this link.

Drop a comment below if you need more help or other questions. It's always my pleasure to assist. Have a great day ahead

Hi Charles

Its annoying to be unique!

So I have pressed the "update" button & the cogs in the bank accounts span but after nothing happened & I wasnt able to see the MFA. The data in the bank account feeds seems correct.

Might have the accounts updated on their own perhaps?

Might it be possible to schedule a call perhaps? I'm beginning to worry about losing my feeds & their date.

I am in the UK

Thanks

Steve

I appreciate you sharing to us the result of the steps you’ve performed, wa8.

Some users are getting the same error when connecting to the Open Banking feature (INV-42733). Our Product Team is aware about the issue and is working towards finding a permanent fix.

To get the latest transactions from your HSBC account, I recommend importing transactions using a CSV file. The Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online article outlines the steps on how to download the data and then transfer it to your account.

I want to ensure you’re updated about the resolution status, so I suggest contacting out QBO Care Team. Make sure to provide your personal information including the email address.

This way, you’ll receive an email once there’s progress about the issue. Follow the steps below to get the contact details.

  1. Go to the Help icon at the top to select the Contact Us link.
  2. This will open another window where you can enter the issue/topic.
  3. Once done, click on the Let’s talk button to view the support information.
  4. Choose how you want to contact our QBO Care Team: Start a chat or Call us.

Rest assured, I’ll update this thread once the resolution is available.

For additional resources, check out the Open Banking guide. It contains a breakdown of articles on how to manage transactions and connection using the new banking connection.

Reach out to me if you have any other concerns or questions. I’ll be right here to help and make sure you’re taken care of.
