LINKING BANK ACCOUNT

WHY IS THERE  no explanation on how to connect bank account when you put in your bank it says to enter a username erm i haven't got one trying to link my bank for the first time. but then its telling me to enter phone number linked to account i do then QuickBooks says this number is not associated with any account then send me a code to it erm i think its pretty messed up, to be honest how other people are linking there account is beyond me witch teffal head come up with this bright spark idea

    Thanks for turning to the Community about the bank connection issue. I’m here to provide clarification about linking an account in QuickBooks.

     

    When setting up bank feeds, enter the login details that you use for online banking. Then, input the bank and company details.


    Make sure the information is the same as they appear on your banking paperwork. I’m adding articles to visually guide you through the steps:

      i have managed to link my account BUT having said that for us, silly people, you should state that you must have online banking to be able to link your account rather than enter your username. had that information been there I would not have had an issue? it was only when the penny dropped i realised this was the problem. and all the feedback i was getting was to do this and do that but no mention of needing online banking. just food for thought

      Hi Paul

       

      I will pass on  your feedback to our product development team to see if we can add in a question mark next to the add bank search with more information or a set up pop up  in the product. Currently as part of the set up to link between Quickbooks and your bank the bank have agreed to us as a  third party connecting to them however it  has to be through online banking log in details, so yes this is why you have to have an online bank log in set up.It is also worth adding feedback here
