Question

My Bank Account (Barclaycard Buisness) connection expired on 20th Feb. Tried to re-authorise, but it won't work. I can connect directly to Barclaycard using same details

I suggest to log in to your bank's website to look for maintenance updates. If they change their URL, you need to disconnect your bank account from QuickBooks. Then, you can add it again, like a new bank account.

 

Let me show you how to disconnect your bank:

  1. Go to Banking and then select the Bank account.
  2. Click the Pencil icon on the blue tile.
  3. Select Edit account info.
  4. Check the Disconnect account on save box.
  5. Hit Save and Close.

Thanks for your advice.  I have followed it but I'm still not able to connect and/or pull down the transactions.  I can use the same credentials to access the account directly with Barclaycard, so I'm content they are not the issue.

I've tried periodically to follow the process since I had the prompt that the connection was expiring on 20th Feb.

I spoke to the support team at Intuit and they asked that I retry after 20th Feb.

I spoke to Barclaycard who stated that its an issue with the link between Quickbooks and Barclaycard and was out of their control (3rd party software and all that).

Hello andy56,

 

If you are using the standard connection, this causes an issue. There will be a disconnection of standard connection, and the Open Banking will be introduced.

 

To make sure you're able to bring your bank transactions into QuickBooks Online. You can try to import a bank file directly to QBO through Web Connect as a workaround.

 

First, you’ll want to download the file from your bank’s website. Here are the steps:

 

  1. Log in to your bank's website.
  2. Follow your bank's online process to download your transactions to your computer.
  3. Choose the .CSV file.
  4. Name the file you downloaded and save.

 

Once done, you can upload the file to QBO. In your left navigation pane, go to Banking and select Upload transactions.
