My bank account gets disconnected all the time and when I reconnect I have to sort everything back out again is that normal

You should only need to re-connect this every 90 days under current Open Banking regulations, and the transactions you've already downloaded should remain as previously categorised. Are all existing transactions becoming uncategorised after reconnecting this?
