Question

My bank connection expired. I reconnected and got the tick to confirm but when I returned to my banking page it still says my connection has expired. What else can I do?

I'm glad to see you here in the Community, @owenroberts1000.

You can you disconnect and reconnect the account. Before disconnecting the bank, make sure that the transactions in the for review is matched or added so it stays in the reviewed section.

Here's how to disconnect:

  1. Go to the Banking/Transactions menu.
  2. Select the blue tile for your bank account.
  3. Click the pencil icon to edit the account, then choose Edit account info.
  4. Tick the Disconnect this account on save checkbox.
  5. Hit Save and close.

Then, reconnect the account:

  1. Go to Banking.
  2. Select Connect from the landing page, or Add account if you already have an account.
  3. Search for your bank and select Continue. Read through the terms and conditions, then click Agree.
  4. Follow the steps on your bank's internet banking page to authorise QuickBooks to connect to your bank account. Once you authorise the connection, you’ll be redirected back to QuickBooks.
  5. Choose the bank accounts you want to connect, and which accounts they will link to in QuickBooks.
  6. Hit Connect. QuickBooks is now connected to your bank accounts and your transactions are now available in the Banking menu.

You may also use other supported browsers. Then, disconnect and reconnect your bank from there.

Also, you can visit our Reconcile hub to assist you in balancing your QuickBooks to match with your real-life bank, this includes correcting a balance and finance charges in QuickBooks.
