Nat West Banking Connection

Is it just me experiencing problems every week with connecting to NatWest bank to download our transactions? Apparantly I'm signed in already (I'm not!) then there's an error downloading transactions and am asked to try again later :(

 

I've tried everything, resetting the connection, going incognito, clearing cookies & cache again which is a pain as I have to log into every website we use regularly again. We just can't seem to get a reliable connection through Quickbooks recently. Seriously thinking of going elsewhere for our accounts software as this is wasting hours daily trying to sort it out!

    Thanks for joining our Community.

     

    We are aware of the error message you have mentioned.

     

    I understand how frustrating this can be if you are having to refresh the accounts when you log in, however this is due to the security requirements from your bank to maintain your account securely.

     

    Natwest have a system that recognises any session for a period of 15-30 mins after you have logged out and this can cause the error to appear in QuickBooks Online if you attempt to update or connect the bank during this time.

     

    If you are getting an error message stating you are logged into your bank and you bank with Natwest, please sign into the banking website through your app or browser and follow the log out process correctly and in full.

     

    Once completed, please then close the app or browser completely. Leave it for 30-45 mins for the Natwest system to register the log out sequence before opening an Incognito or InPrivate browser to log into QuickBooks Online and attempt the update of the bank account.

     

    Please give these steps a try and let me know if you have any further queries.

    Yes, we've been doing this dance daily for the last few weeks, after 3 hours I am finally back in & have downloaded our transactions. I always log into quickbooks first to download transactions rather than logging into the banks website. I even set the alarm on my phone to notify me once an hour has passed before trying again >.<

    I do understand the frustration of bank connections being inconsistent but I am please you have been able to get back in and update.
