'New' sort code from HSBC

HSBC have written to us to inform that they have changed our sort code for our euro account. It has not changed the bank account on paper, but has obviusly broken the original connection. Since this happened last month the bank download has not worked. I do I go about reconnecting?

    Hi Pickle.

     

    Thanks for getting in touch with Community, hopefully I can help :)

     

    If HSBC have given you a completely new sort code then this would mean the information we have linked to the account on QuickBooks would now be incorrect and wouldn't be able to connect to the bank account. This isn't really a problem as all we really need to do is update the connection information. To do this...

     

    1. Click onto the Banking tab on the left of your QuickBooks.
    2. In the box at the top that shows the bank, click on the Pen icon.
    3. Click on Edit Sign in Info.
    4. Enter the sign in information for your bank account, this will be the Account number and new sort code.

    This will update the connection with the new sort code provided to you by HSBC and will re establish the bank feed within your QuickBooks.

    Thanks for the assistance - but when I click on edit - there is no sign in information to edit. It just says connected to : HSBC euro business banking.

    This was a direct feed connection.

     

    Any further assistance would be great. However, I think this is a change that HSBC are rolling out for all their euro bank accounts, so I do not think I will be the only person
