Question

Paypal autopay from connected bank account

Some of my PayPal purchases are paid for from my connected bank account.  How do I avoid transactions being downloaded in duplicate?  Right now a transaction shows up in my bank account and on my PayPal Credit account.  I've been excluding them.  Is this the best way to deal with them?

It's nice to see you here, ELC2016.

I'm here to make sure you'll be able to avoid duplicate transactions in QuickBooks Online.

QuickBooks is dependent on the entries that are transmitted from your financial institution. Transactions are being posted in the system the way they have been cleared from your bank.

To fix the duplicate transactions, you'll have the option to exclude those transactions and delete them afterward. This is to remove them from your books permanently.

Here's how to exclude transactions:

1. Go to the Banking menu from the left navigation panel.

2. Select the Banking tab, and choose the account you want to use.

3. Click the For Review tab.

4. Mark the checkbox of the transactions you want to exclude.

5. Select the Exclude option.

6. The items will be moved to the Excluded section.

7. From the Excluded tab, place a check in the box for the transaction you'd like to permanently delete.

8. Click the Delete tab.
