Payments for Paypal US$ have gone into the Paypal £ account and I can't transfer them because they are now in the account history.  I am trying to reconcile these Paypal accounts going back to June last year. Can anyone help?

    Hi Shazza,

To clarify do you have two PayPal accounts linked into QuickBooks Online (i.e are they seperate eg. USD and GBP)?

Do you have two seperate log ins for when you access your accounts from the PayPal website?

If this isnt the case, PayPal should currency convert. I have however had issues with the PayPal 'bank' feeds in the past, especially when it concerns currency conversions.

Please feel free to private message me any issues and I would be happy to help.

    Kind Regards,

    thanks Emily.

I think I have sorted the problem - having to delete some transactions and manually add them in the right currency.

However I now have a problem with all the currency conversions.  I can add Paypal fees for the expenses, but some of the currency conversions are positives.  How do I account for these in QBO because the expense form does not accept a positive amount.

    Thanks

    Sharon

    Hi Sharon,

No worries glad you managed to fix the issue.

I have a long list of things that do not currently work well with the PayPal feed in QuickBooks Online, and this is one (of many may I add!). For the positives you have to use a 'Bank Deposit' ensuring that you are depositing to the correct PayPal account.

    Kind Regards,
