Purging - Chart of Accounts

Hi there,

I setup quickbooks today for my limited company, inserted some data but messed it up. 

I purged my account, however, since purging, all chart of account defaults are no longer there, you know, the ones relevant to UK accounts - i.e. advertising, postage costs etc.

It's all gone americanfied! I think the only way is to cancel the subscription and repurchase, however, it's going to charge me again.

I understand that you want the original suggested Chart of Accounts. When you purge your account, this process will wipe out all data in the company file. What I can suggest is to create a new QuickBooks Online account instead. That way, you'll have a new company set up. Then, you can cancel your existing account to avoid double charges.

 

Also, I suggest contacting our Customer Support Team to see if they have an option to restore the first recommended Chart of Accounts. You can follow these steps on how to contact them: 

 

  1. Go to Help and select Contact Us.
  2. Enter Purge Company in the question field and select Let's talk.
  3. Choose either Start messaging or Get a callback.
