QBO manual upload stopped recognizing account number

About a month or so ago QBO stopped automatically recognise account numbers on manual import. I use a QBO file format and it worked before. What happened? And how to fix it?

I've looked into reported concerns for QuickBooks Online UK and haven't found any outages regarding this import problem. I want to help make sure this is resolved immediately. Can you please share some information or screenshot about the error message you get when you upload the bank file? I need information to help you further.

 

For now, let's try to diagnose this issue first by running some basic troubleshooting on your computer. You can use a different browser or try importing the bank file in a private window. Unexpected issues in QBO are mostly affected by the large data in the cache. This is because the regular browser will constantly accumulate history and will not remove it automatically.

 

The incognito mode will not save any history, so it is a great place to identify issues in the browser. Use these keyboard shortcuts to launch a new private window:

 

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl Shift N  
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: press Command Shift N

 

If it works, clear the cache to resolve the issue in regular browsing. If not, I suggest contacting our Support Team to report the problem to our engineers, and they can look into the issue for you.

 

To get a hold of a representative to check your account, follow these steps:

 

  1. Go to the (?) Help menu to open the QB Assistant box.
  2. On the page, enter Contact Support.
  3. Pick Live Chat to connect with our live representative.
  4. Once done, click the Live Chat link provided in the pop-up box.
  5. On the next page, enter "QuickBooks not recognizing bank accounts" then Let's Talk.
  6. Lastly, select Start a chat.
