Hi there, lizziebethclark.

I want to ensure that the right information and resolution will be given to you. Can you tell me if you receive any errors when trying to connect the account to QBO? This way, I can provide an accurate solution to your concern.

However, I can share with you the things that could be the possible reasons why it happens.

If it's your first time to connect the account in your book, maybe the Pay Pal has multiple names on our list. This is one of the common reasons which triggered to connect the account in QuickBooks Online. With that being said, let's ensure to select the correct link of the bank. It would be best to copy the URL from your bank's website to ensure that you'll be using the right one when linking that account.

Aside from that, there are still more reasons that you can find here. Once you're done exploring the article, let's try to connect the account one more time. To guide you further, please follow the steps below:

  1. Within the Banking page, click Connect account if it's your first time to link an account in your book. If it's not, click Add account at the upper-right corner.
  2. Enter the URL of your bank.
  3. Select the type of account you want to connect.
  4. Click Connect.

If the issue persists, I recommend using a private browser when connecting your Pay Pal to QuickBooks. This is to verify if we get the same result. We recommend this method to identify browser problems.

  • Click the Reload icon or press CTRL F5 to refresh QuickBooks.
  • Aside from using the Reload icon, we can use a different browser like Google Chrome, Mozilla, Microsoft Edge, and Safari. Afterward, let's follow the set of steps above one more time.
  • If everything goes well, we can clear the cache of your original browser. Also, you can use other compatible browsers in QBO.

We can also manually import your transactions. It's how we can bring transactions to QBO if there's connectivity issues in your account. After that, transactions from your accounts will add to your Online Banking.

On the other hand, if your account is already connected to QBO and now it's not connecting to see the latest entries, I suggest clicking the Update button. This way, you're able to refresh the connection of the bank to see the latest updates.

  1. Within the Banking page, highlight the account.
  2. Then, hit the Update button.

You may want to check this article to see steps on how you can review your transactions to avoid double entries.
