Question

Quickbooks Online bank feeds importing transactions for entire year even though I specified an import date.

For some reason, every time I connect a bank account to bank feeds it imports transactions for the entire year. I set it up to only bring transactions over from a specific date (for example, July 1 2022), but it imports transactions for the full year. How do I correct this? Even if I go back and delete the extra transactions, they are re-imported the next time it syncs. Any input would be appreciated.

I'd like to share some details about the downloaded transactions adding them to QuickBooks Online, nominalcomic.

May I know what specific error message/code did you receive? This is to identify if we have a reported issue.

Once a downloaded transaction has been accepted or excluded, QuickBooks will prevent the bank from bringing the transaction back into the bank feed and If you remove it, the bank will download the same transaction again.

When you connect your bank, QuickBooks can only request up to 90 days of transactions that will be downloaded automatically in your account.

To get this fixed,  exclude the transactions those unwanted entries by excluding them in bulk. You can follow these steps:

  1. Select the Banking menu at the left pane.
  2. Look for and choose the bank account associated with the said entries.
  3. Select the For Review tab and put a checkmark on every transaction to exclude.
  4. Tick the checkbox, and then click the Exclude button.

You can get more details about this process in this article: Exclude a bank transaction you downloaded into QuickBooks Online
