Hi,

I am new to quickbooks, I just want to know where I record my self employed wages, is it in personal or business transactions.

Many thanks

Hello there, Sharon France.

Thank you for using QuickBooks, and welcome to the Community!

You may record the wages under the owner's withdrawal if you pay yourself. However, I'd recommend reaching out to your accountant to guide you properly without messing up your account.

You can take a look at this reference that has detailed information documenting self-employed income and expenses and prepare your Schedule C: Custom categories in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

You can also visit this link if you have more questions about the program: QuickBooks Self-Employed Overview.

Also, feel free to browse our Self-Help page, wherein we've laid out articles that help manage your QuickBooks Self-Employed account.
