Refreshing Bank Feeds passwords and User Rights

Is it possible for a user that has a limited report view only access on Quickbooks to refresh the bank feeds? With open banking these need to be refreshed every 90 days and I am wondering what the easiest solution is to give access to our clients to enable them to do this but also to ensure that they don't start posting transactions themselves. Appreciate some feedback on how other people are managing this. Thanks.

Hello Stephen 👋, Thanks for reaching to the Community,

 

It's not possible for a user who is reports only to update Bank Feeds as they are limited to reports. There is the option of Standard user however as a standard user they are able to create transactions, and when filtering the access rights you end up losing the facility to update/refresh Bank feeds. You can leave feedback for our product engineers to see if this is something they can build into the product. Thanks

Thanks for the response Becky. Whats the best way to bring this to the attention of a product engineer? I do think it is something that many other users would find useful...

Hello Stephen, 

 

When you logged in to your Quickbooks account if you go to the cogwheel>feedback. there you can write what you think QuickBooks should get and it gets sent straight to our product enginers as well. We will pass this feedback on as well to them. Thanks
