Specify tax amount explicitly

Hi,
Is there a possibility to specify the tax amount explicitly on the invoice level without using a tax object?

For example, I have an invoice for a single line item for 100 and 20 of that is a tax. I would like to be able to put  20 directly there instead of being forced to specify a pre-configured tax type.

Hello RIdikk12, thanks for posting on the Community page, what you are wanting to do is not possible because you have to select a tax code on the line item so VAT will be applied.  If you will include VAT on the amount itself and don’t want to select the tax code/tax type then what happens is - vat will not be posted on your vat return. We would suggest you speak to a trained and qualified accountant and they might know a way for you to do this in your account.
