Supplier payments on account

Looking at QB guidance for a cash accounting entry and using a BS account for prepaid amounts , I can't see how the cost gets to the P&L ?

Hello SarahL64, thanks for posting on the Community page,  so payment on account will only post to creditors, you would need to apply it as the payment on a bill that has an expense account on it for it to then hit the P&L report for you.
