Question

Transactions not being imported unless readding bank account - reconfirming consent doesn't do anything?

I keep having this issue where transactions from my Nationwide account won't be imported unless I readd the account. I reconfirm consent regularly but that seems to make no difference - after a random amount of time after I readd the Nationwide account then transactions stop being imported and I have to readd the account again.

This has been happening over the last year or so, is there anything that can be done about it?

Re-adding the bank account will remove the categorized transaction, @MrBojangles. Let me go over some details about this.

As per checking, we've found an ongoing investigation regarding Nationwide Bank's transactions not synchronizing automatically in QuickBooks Self-Employed. Please know that there's no specific time frame as to when this will be resolved. however, we assure you that our Product Engineering team is working efficiently to address this issue. Thus, I recommend contacting our support team for you to be added to the affected users list and receive timely updates.

Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your QBSE account.
  2. Go to Help (?) and select Contact Us.
  3. Select Assistant.
  4. Select the options till you are prompted to choose a way to connect:
  • Message an agent.

You can refer to this link to learn about the scheduled time and for a direct contact number to reach them: Contact QuickBooks Self-Employed Support.

In the meantime, you can manually import the transactions that didn't flow in the feed while fixing the issue.

Here's how;

  1. Get the date range of the transactions in question.
  2.  Export the transactions from your bank.
  3. Import the transactions.

Refer to this article for a detailed guide to import transactions via CSV file: Manually import transactions into QBSE.

Additionally, you can visit this article and learn the format for importing transactions using a CSV file: Format CSV files in Excel to get bank transactions into QuickBooks.

You can always respond if you have additional questions regarding bank transactions in QBSE. I'm always available to help.
