Trouble linking my tide account

QuickBooks won’t link my ride account,it will go through the process but then say “something went wrong”

Hi, rothservices22-g. I'm here to help ensure you can link your Tide account to QuickBooks Online banking.

 

There are some possible reasons why you're unable to connect your bank to QBO:

 

  • The bank may not be a participating bank. 
  • Your bank might not connect to all types of accounts (for example, personal vs. business accounts).
  • A bank has system maintenance.
  • Some banks have multiple names on our list. You might want to check and select the correct one or try all possible bank URLs.

 

You'll want to check on your bank website. There may be an issue on their end, and it loses connection with QBO every time there are updates. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Banking tab and choose Add Account.
  2. Search and click for your bank 
  3. Choose the URL listed in the window.
  4. Sign in using your bank website username and password.
  5. Check your account page for messagesnotifications, or alerts. Any display or login issues on the bank’s end can block downloads.
  6. Also, check your bank’s website for any new security requirements. Even something as simple as updating your bank password can block QuickBooks.
  7. If everything looks good, try to connect again your bank.

 

On a different note, this might be a browser cache issue. To see if this is the case, you can use an incognito or a private window:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Option + P

 

If you're able to do so, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. Close and reopen it after doing so. This eliminates the stored files and helps the browser to function efficiently. If not, use other supported browsers.
