Hello there, @holmesandgardens. It's nice to see you here in the Community. I'm just the right person for the job to help unlink your bank account in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

In QBO, you can easily perform the process by disconnecting the account. Before doing so, ensure that the pending transactions in the For Review tab is already matched or categorised to avoid duplicates once you reconnect it. Here's how:

  1. In your QBO account, go to the Bookkeeping menu.
  2. Next, select Transactions and then click Banking.
  3. From there, click the account you need to unlink.
  4. Then, select the pencil icon and click Edit account info.
  5. Check the Disconnect this account on save box.
  6. Once done, click Save and Close.

For reference, here's the article that you can visit: Disconnect accounts connected to online banking in QuickBooks Online.

That's it you'll now be able to unlink your bank account in QBO.

You'll want to ensure that your account matches your bank and credit card statements by performing the reconciliation process.

If you have further questions unlinking your bank account, feel free to leave a reply below. I'm always around and ready to provide additional assistance. Have a great day ahead and take care always.
