I appreciate you posting in the Community, James. Let me explain the difference between cash and current in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Are you referring to the QuickBooks Balance and Bank Balance? If so, QuickBooks Balance has the total transaction amount recorded in QBO with that specific bank. On the other hand, Bank balance is the actual balance of the bank associated with QuickBooks.

Otherwise, you can add any additional information to the thread, including a screenshot. This way, we'll be able to visualize what you have on your end and provide more information that'll help you and your business grow.

Additionally, you might want to check this article for a complete guide to account and detail types in QBO: A complete guide to account types and detail types in QuickBooks Online.

I'm always here in the comments if you need additional assistance with the comparison of these terms in your Chart of accounts. It's great to have you here in the Community.
