I appreciate you for reaching out to us here on the Community forum, Mandie.

I'm here to help you with reconnecting your RBS account to QuickBooks.

To get started, may I know the specific error message you've received when trying to re-link your account? This way, I can gather enough resources and check for any open investigation. On the other hand, if you're trying to reconnect the account through a mobile device, you can open a browser and do the steps from there. Sometimes, unusual behaviour happens when the QuickBooks app is corrupted or needs to be updated.

For QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), you can follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to QBSE.
  2. Select the Gear icon, then select Bank accounts.
  3. In the search box, enter the name or URL of your bank. Then select Continue. If you've already connected an account before, select Connect another.
  4. Enter the sign-in info you use for your bank's website.
  5. When you’re ready, select Connect.

If you're using QuickBooks Online (QBO):

  1. Open QuickBooks.
  2. Click on Banking or Transactions at the left pane.
  3. Go to the Banking page, then select Connect account from the landing page, or select Upload transactions if you already have an account.
  4. Search for your bank and select Continue. Read through the terms and conditions, then select Agree.
  5. Follow the steps on your bank's internet banking page to authorise QuickBooks to connect to your bank account. Once you authorise the connection, you’ll be redirected back to QuickBooks.
  6. Select the bank accounts you want to connect, and which accounts they will link to in QuickBooks.
  7. Hit Connect.

Once your bank is connected, it automatically downloads your bank transactions. From there, you can review and categorise them. Here are your references for QBSE and QBO:
