Question

When we make a cash withdrawal from the company bank account I record this as a "cash at bank and in hand" expense. How do I see the total amount withdrawn?

Nice to have you in the Community space, @katie-rwafinance.

We can go to your bank register and see the total amount withdrawn from there. I’d be glad to guide you through the steps.

Here’s how on your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account:

  1. Go to the Accounting menu.
  2. Select Chart of Accounts.
  3. Locate your company’s bank account and click the View register link under the Action column.
  4. Look for the expense transaction and you’ll be able to see the total amount withdrawn.

You can also go to the Expenses menu and look for the expense transaction from there.

In addition to this, check out these links for reference in managing your accounts effectively in QBO:
