Thanks for bringing this to our attention, @briggsee. Let me clarify things about uploading transactions in QuickBooks Online.

In QuickBooks Online, you can import your entries even if your account is not connected to online banking. You usually download this file from your bank.

May I ask what was your previous way of importing your transactions in QuickBooks Online? I appreciate any extra information you can give and it will help us isolate the issue and provide the best solution.

To continue, let me walk you through the process of uploading your transactions.

  1. Log in to your bank or credit card's website.
  2. Follow your bank's instructions on how to download CSV files of your transactions to your computer.
  3. Check the date range for the download.
  4. Download your transactions. Save the file somewhere you can easily find it, like your computer's desktop.
  5. Open and review the file from your bank. Make sure it's in the correct format before you upload it.

Then, follow these steps if your accounts is not connected to online banking:

  1. In QuickBooks Online, go to the Banking menu or Transactions menu.
  2. Choose Upload transactions.
  3. Select Browse and then select the file you downloaded from your bank and then click Next.
  4. In the QuickBooks account ▼  dropdown, choose the account you want to upload the transactions into. Then click Next.
  5. Follow the onscreen steps and then choose Next.
  6. Select the transactions you would like to import. Then select Next.
  7. Click Yes.
  8. When you're ready, choose Let's go.

Lastly, to ensure all entries are accounted for correctly and with no duplicates, you can categorize and match them. Then, reconcile them to ensure your books are accurate.

Keep me posted if you have other concerns in importing your transactions in QuickBooks. I'll make sure to help you reach your goal. Stay safe and healthy always.
