Why is my account taking so long to link

Let's make sure you'll be able to link your bank with QuickBooks Online, carthygardens-gm.

Before we start, are you getting a specific error? Normally, it should only take several minutes to connect to your bank to QuickBooks. Let's perform some steps to fix the issue. Sometimes your browser is full of the frequently accessed page that may have been the cause of some unusual responses. You can log in to your QuickBooks Online account using a private window (incognito). I've provided the shortcut keys below:

• Press Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome)
• Ctrl + Shift + P (Firefox)
• Control + Option + P (Safari)

Once signed in, check if you can already link your bank account. If so, go back to your default browser and clear the cache to speed up the loading process. There are times the cache becomes overwhelmed with older data which causes viewing and performance issues. Clearing them refreshes the system and you'll be able to work with a clean slate.  If it still doesn't work, I suggest switching to a different browser. 

However, if you're still unable to link to your bank, ensure that you're using the correct URL. Sometimes a financial institution will have multiple bank names or have different types of accounts but choose to only release one website for connection.
