I'm here to help ensure your transactions are properly tracked in QuickBooks Online (QBO), userstrawfordforklif.

Let's create a cheque or expense to record the transactions. Then, make a deposit to reimburse the company.

To enter the personal expense:

  1. In your company, head to the New menu and choose Cheque or Expense.
  2. Select a Payee from the dropdown ▼ menu.
  3. In the Bank Account drop-down, choose Cash Account or Credit Card you used to make the purchase.
  4. Go to the Category details section, and pick the tax category that fits your need from the Category drop-down.
  5. Enter the Amount of the purchase.
  6. Click Save and close or Save and new.

Next, make a deposit to reimburse the company. Here's how:

  1. Tap the New menu in the upper right and select Bank deposit under Other.
  2. This process will open the transaction’s page.
  3. Click the Account drop-down and pick the account you want to put the money into.
  4. Key in the correct date for the transaction.
  5. Navigate to the Add funds to this deposit section.
  6. In the Receive From field, enter the person who made the personal expense.
  7. Choose the Payment Method and enter the amount for the reimbursement.
  8. Click the Save and close button to keep the entry.
