So, today I logged into my accounts and was able to import all of my QBO's for 2020. However when I did it for the first 2021 statement of the year from my BOA account, I get a file error. I called BOA and they state they made no changes on their end.

What do I do with this?

Hi, @truebalance.

I appreciate you for communicating with the BOA to confirm if there are any changes on their end that cause the error. I'm here to help you in importing data to QuickBooks Desktop.

Before drilling into the troubleshooting steps, may I know the specific error you've encountered? That way, I can double-check our report if there are an investigation and present precise resolutions.

To isolate this, let's download and install the QuickBooks Tool Hub to fix common file errors.

Here's how:

  1. Download the QuickBooks Tool Hub version (1.4.0.0)
  2. Locate and open the file you downloaded (QuickBooksToolHub.exe), then install it.
  3. Choose Company Filed Issues
  4. Tap Quick Fix my File, then hit OK

If the error continues, please run the File Doctor from the tool hub. Let me show you how:

  1. Go to the Company File Issues.
  2. Select Run QuickBooks File Doctor, then click Browse and search.
  3. Check your file and tap Continue
  4. Type your credentials, then click Next

Follow the steps bestowed on this article for the issue you see: Fix company file and network issues with QuickBooks File Doctor

Additionally, please run updates regularly and verify and rebuild data to help get ahead of errors.

I've also added articles about various errors and their resolution. Also, handling imported data in QBDT.

Let me know how the troubleshooting goes in the comment section. I'll be waiting for a response. Take care.
