A bank debit is a combination of 1 payment and 3 refunds. How do I match these transactions to the debit?

Hello, @userjeff-rucker.

You can open the payment and refunds you've initially recorded and make sure to choose Undeposited Funds from the Deposit To drop-down. Then, you can create a bank deposit all the transactions together and match it with the downloaded ones. I can guide you in doing so.

First, let's open the payments you've made and change the Deposit To account.

You can do the same for the refunds you've created.

By posting your transactions under the Undeposited Funds account, it allows you to combine them into 1 deposit. Once completed, you can now create a bank deposit. Here's how:

  1. Go to the New icon (+).
  2. Choose Bank Deposit.
  3. Select the bank account where the transaction is posted.
  4. From the Select the payments included in this deposit section, mark the payments and refunds you want to deposit together.
  5. Click Save and Close.

Now, you can match it with your downloaded bank transaction. You can read through this article for more detailed steps: Add and Match Downloaded Banking Transactions.

Also, you can directly create a bank deposit to record the payment and refunds. You can use these articles as additional reference:
