Add in missing (Older month) bank reconciliations

Today I reconciled the last 18 months of our American Express card.  When I was uploading the statements, it shows that I missed 3 months in 2022, however all subsequent months reconciled.  Is there a way to go back and add in those months?  (It's May/June/July 2022, but I've already reconciled thru Oct 2023).  Thank you

You can use MT Online or one of the converter tools with a one time license (e.g csv2qbo @ $60) as a workaround.

Yes, you can add those missing months, @bbarresi. Let me share some processes to ensure books remain balanced and accurate.

You can add all affected transactions to QuickBooks Online. Before doing so, ensure that you have acquired all entries from your bank and they're formatted correctly.

Here’s how:

  1. Sign in to your American Express card's website.
  2. Follow your bank's instructions about downloading CSV files to your computer.
  3. Check the date range.
  4. Download and save the file.

When done, import and categorize them. Then, reconcile the May/June/July 2022 transactions manually. Navigate to your account register and set all events to reconciled (R) under Reconcile and Banking Status. Moreover, make sure the following reconciled months’ figures are still accurate.

You can access this guide anytime if you need insights about doing or fixing a reconciliation: Learn the reconciliation workflow in QuickBooks. This includes ways to make changes after you process them.

I’ll be here anytime to lend a hand if you need further assistance managing your transactions in QuickBooks. Just add them to your reply below.
