Anyone else having trouble syncing with Bank of America? This problem occurred recently and it took three weeks to resolve.

There could be various reasons why your bank isn't syncing to online banking in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Before anything else, can you provide me with the specific bank error code or message if there's one? This is to see if we have similar reported issues on our system.

Moreover, if you're having issues finding or linking your bank account may be because of the following reasons:

Your bank has multiple names on our list.
Your bank does not connect to all types of accounts.
Your bank is not a participating financial institution.

To link your bank account to QBO, check if it's a participating financial institution by searching for its website URL on the Connect an account page. Follow the steps to connect to the right account:

Go to the Transactions menu, and go to the Banking tab.
If this is the first bank account you’ve set up, select Connect account. Or select Link account if you already created one.
In the Connect an account page's search field, enter the name of your bank, or preferably your bank's URL.
Hit the Enter key.
When your bank appears on the list, select it and follow the on-screen steps to connect your credit card account.

Let me be clear. This is an issue that was identified as a problem today. I have previously synced my Quickbooks platform to Bank of America, both my business checking as well as my business credit card.

This same problem occurred about one month ago, and it took three weeks for QuickBooks to resolve the issue.

Multiple calls to customer service were unhelpful. There was no communication about when the problem would be resolved. I was not allowed to talk to tech support. I was promised a call from a supervisor regarding this issue, and that did not take place either. If your company keeps records of communications with clients, you should be able to review my interactions with your company.

I’ve been dealing with the same issue recently. After speaking with three different tech support/customer service representatives and spending over two hours with them, there is still no resolution. Ultimately, they told me the case would be escalated for further investigation. The bottom line is that their tech support was unable to help me.

We can sign in to your bank's website to check if your bank has scheduled maintenance that can prevent the software from pulling up transactions correctly. Here's how:

Go to your bank or credit card's website.
Find the website by going to Bank transactions, then select Link account. Search for your bank, select it, and copy the listed URL.
Sign in to your bank or credit card's website.
Check your account for display issues, messages, notifications, new security requirements, or alerts.
If everything looks good, select Update on the Bank transactions page.

None of the suggestions were helpful. The problem is now resolved. I have no idea what caused the problem, and I did literally nothing to resolve it. I suspect the IT department of QuickBooks fixed it. Again, no communication from them or QuickBooks about what the problem was and if it will recur. Given the background of many of QuickBooks customers, I suspect there are many suggestions could be made regarding improving customer service if we were given the opportunity for our input.

I have been having this problem as well. Truly hate Intuit. Useless engineers, useless support. Surprised we haven't been asked to reboot or update drivers.
