Solved

Are others having trouble accessing the banking tab? I have tried every day for 4 days now, and cannot reconcile my transactions.

Nothing happens when I click on Banking.

Hello, usersusanpintus.

Aside from clicking the Banking tab, did you also encounter a specific error message? I'd like to know this so I can check for any system-related issues.

In the meantime, I'd like to lay down a solution to help you access the Banking tab again.

A cache-related issue is likely preventing you from accessing the Banking tab. When a browser's cache is full or there's a damaged webpage data on it, it can cause strange behavior within QuickBooks Online.

We can confirm this by using an incognito browser (good for determining cache-related issues, and doesn't use the existing cache data):

  • Google Chrome: Press CTRL + Shift + N.
  • Safari: Press Command + Shift + N.
  • Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + P.

From there, log in to your QuickBooks Online account then access the Banking page again. When you're able to do so, categorize or manage your transactions so you can reconcile your bank account.

Afterwards, we'll want to go back to the regular browser and clear the cache. This removes the webpage data that's causing the issue. Close out any browser instances to complete the process.

Though, we can also use another supported browser as an alternative in fixing this issue.

Need help with the reconciliation process? Check out this article for a guide: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online

The reconciliation process will generate a report that'll help you review the reconciled transactions for the next period. If you'd like to know how to utilize it well, feel free to check out the article below. I'll also add a guide in case you run into any reconciliation discrepancies:

Please let me know if there's anything else I can do regarding the Banking page or when reconciling your transactions. I'm here to help.

Thank you!! Problem solved, using your advice.  And I now have the banking tab opening in my regular browser.

Previously--No, there was no error message.  No response whatsoever when I clicked on the banking tab.
