Are you able to import IIF and QBO files into QuickBooks online?

For *.qbo files, use the following reference

For *.iif files, you have to open the files in Excel and save as *.csv files. Then you will need to use a 3rd party converter or importer tool to proceed.

To import bank statements in csv format, use this importer tool

Otherwise, you have to convert *.csv files into *.qbo files, use a csv2qbo converter tool

this is ridicules, how can you abandon your own file format import capabilities, I use every day iif files to import Bills and payments in single iif file plus journal entries in another iif format from our POS. Unless quick books online enable iif imports I will be off the Quickbooks online ( totally a garbage product compared to Quickbooks desktop ) near future

    We're unable to import IIF into QuickBooks Online; this feature is only available in QuickBooks Desktop.

     

    You can consider Fiat Lux - ASIA's suggestion above or visit the QuickBooks App Center for a third-party application that your company requires. Enter the app name or keyword in the search bar.

    I am so disappointed in Quickbooks Online. There are so many features missing that existed in desktop. Forcing me to pay a 3rd party to do something that should be easy. It's disappointing that Intuit is charging me more money for less functionality and causing me to go pay a 3rd party to perform a simple function.

     

    I'm not please with Intuit or Quickbooks online. My recommendation? Don't move online.

      I would second kwilkie16 and require a floor vote if this was a board.  QB Online is completely lacking in its functionality and vision.  Was it made for a small business that only has 1 employee... the owner????  Seriously, what small business does not have to pay employees, and yet you take this ability away and charge me more?  I'd like an explanation about why this isn't included, and don't tell me it's coming or I should request the feature.  It should not have been a released version if you aren't capable to deliver a product that is worth purchasing.

        How do I import my POS data into quickbooks online?  When I had desktop, I   would go to utilities, import IIF file, select  the file and inport.  It was simple and easy.  How do I do it now??

          Disappointed is an understatement. 

          The QB Online solution is presumably a Cloud Product, yet a key function available in the ‘On Premise’ desktop version is not available for the leading edge QB Online product. 

          I am making an enhancement request in this forum for the QB Development team. 
          Please add the QB Import functions to the QB Online versions of the software ASAP!

           

          As a user for the past 14 years, this is the key item holding our company back from migrating to QB Online. 

          I am sure there are thousands of other users that are in this position. 

          Please advise if there is a preferred way to log this enhancement request.

            I can see how advantageous it is to import IIF files to QuickBooks Online (QBO), WBUMISH. Let's send this suggestion to our product engineers so they can consider adding this feature in future updates.

             

            I recommend sending an enhancement request to our product engineers. They continuously seek to fulfill our customer's needs, and your input is vital in deciding which features will be incorporated in upcoming updates. You can temporarily utilize the QBO test account to send feedback since you haven't yet decided to migrate. Here's how:

             

            1. Open the QBO (Plus) test drive.
            2. Go to the Gear icon in the upper right and choose Feedback under Profile.
            3. Type in your recommendation in the Share your feedback field.
            4. Click Next to submit.

             

            Meanwhile, you may opt to find other alternatives to help you with your task. To choose the best application for your business, you can visit this page: QuickBooks App Store.
