Automatic deposits from Bank

Hi,

We have our QBO account linked to the Bank so both debits and credit are automatically created when we run the update.  The costs are easy to reconcile but the revenue is complicated.  Does anyone know if there is a way to have the link just update transactions that take money out of the account but ignores deposits?   I have to delete delete deposits and add them manually to get the detail I am looking for.   Trying to save a step.

Thanks for returning to the Community, JP141. I appreciate your detailed information.

 

The data Intuit receives from your connected account comes from the bank that account's with. When the transactions are sent, it's completely dependent upon what your financial institution sends.

 

If you're wanting more details included with certain transactions your bank sends to Intuit, I'd recommend reaching out to their support team and discussing if this is possible.

 

Another option is manually downloading the transactions from your bank, editing them outside of QuickBooks, then importing the data you customized into your books.
