Bank balance for credit card is not updating but transactions are updating OK. Need assistance in figuring this out.

When I update my credit card transactions it is downloading the transactions fine but it is not updating the credit card balance. Any known resolution? Thanks

We can start updating your bank account manually. This troubleshooting helps to refresh the connectivity between your bank's website into QuickBooks..

 

  1. Go to the Banking tab.
  2. Choose the appropriate bank account.
  3. Click Update.

 

Also, if the issue persists perform some basic troubleshooting steps to isolate the issue. At times, the accumulated cache in your browser causes sync and connection issues between your bank's website and QuickBooks. Start by accessing your Online account in a private or incognito window. Just refer to the shortcut keys I've listed below:

 

  •  Microsoft Edge: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N
  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P

 

Once you're in, head to the Banking or Transactions menu again. If you're able to see the latest bank balance without any issues, go back to your regular browser and then clear its cache and cookies to start over fresh. Alternatively, you can switch to other supported browsers.
