Thanks for getting back to us, @Anna_Reznik.

As of this time, the bank's current balance will not show after uploading the transaction manually in QuickBooks.

As mentioned by my colleague above, as a workaround, you can check the bank's current balance in your Chart of AccountsI want to let you know that we're taking note of your feedback and suggestions to improve the experience we're providing.

Please also know that I'm going to send feedback on my end in regards to your concern about the option to show the bank balance after uploading the transaction manually. This way, our engineering team will check and work with this for possible inclusion in future updates.

Please let us know if you have any other questions with QuickBooks Online. We're always here to help.

Hello, Anna_Reznik.

You can check the bank’s current balance in your Chart of Accounts. Here’s how:

  1. Click the Gear icon at the top.
  2. Select Chart if Accounts under Your Company.
  3. You’ll see the balance under the BANK BALANCE column.

Furthermore, you’ll need to manually check your bank’s register in QuickBooks t figure out if there are duplicate or missing transactions.

Thank you, MikiD. We manually uploaded statements from 01/01/2019 till 03/31/2019 but can't see bank balance. What could be the reason?

Hi there, Anna_Reznik.

Thanks for responding back and for providing additional explanation.

If your recent downloads are through webconnect or manual download, the BANK BALANCE column would be empty. The system will derive this information from your bank and will auto-populate the field. This process, won't take affect when you do a manual download.

Thanks again for dropping by.

Hi,

I manually upload bank transactions for 3 different bank accounts. I've been successfully reconciling all 3 bank accounts all along. Somehow I noticed that 1 of them, shows an outdated "UPDATE" bank balance. It stopped updating after Dec 2 when in fact I've been uploading transactions after that date. Apparently this issue does not affect the books. The balance  in QBO is correct. Please advise. Thank you.

Thank you for posting here in the Community @Gee4.

You don't have to worry about the outdated bank balance since it does not affect your books.

A connectivity issue may prevent you from downloading transactions into QuickBooks.

Hi Rubielyn_J,

Thanks for your quick reply.

Does this mean that specific account will always show the outdated bank balance amount (12/2/19)?

I always uploaded manually w/o using WebConnect. Simply using CSV comma delimited file to upload info.I attached snapshot of the account in question. (Highlighted in blue) All 3 accounts come from the same bank. All uploaded the week of March 20.

Thanks again!
