Bank download

I am using QB versions 2020 and 2021.  I have downloaded transactions from Chase to each version before.  Now I am having a problem.  When I try to download to the 2021 program, the 2020 program pops up to accept the transactions even though the company I am downloading is on the 2021 program.  I can't get Chase to go directly to 2021 even though it's the only program open.

 

I cannot move the companies onto the same version right now. 

 

Not sure how to get Chase to download to 2021 even though it did it just fine in February.

Would appreciate your suggestions.

Data issues might be the reason that transactions aren’t downloading to the 2021 program. Let me share some troubleshooting steps here to get this resolved.


You can utilize the Verify Rebuild Data tool in QuickBooks Desktop. It identifies the most known data issues within your company file while resolving them right away. Here are the steps to do it:

 

  1. First, choose Window and then select Close All.
  2. Go to the File menu, and then click Utilities.
  3. Select Rebuild Data.
  4. Follow the onscreen instruction to back up your data.
  5. When the tool finishes, select OK.
  6. Navigate to the File menu, then hover over Utilities.
  7. Click Verify Data and select Rebuild Now once QuickBooks finds an issue with your company file.


Please know that you'll need to log in to your Desktop account using the single-user mode when performing this process. Refer to this reference to fix data damage for additional instructions in case the issue remains the same.
